1. Sit back or lie comfortably.
2. Close your eyes.
3. Take 3 deep breaths and release all tension.
4. Now do the following:
- Imagine you are holding a two-inch energy ball in your hand.
- Squeeze it, physically squeeze that energy ball in your hand.
- Pretend to yourself that the harder you squeeze the more it resists, that your forces match equally: However hard you squeeze your can not change the shape of that ball.
- Tell yourself, "The harder I squeeze, the deeper I go inside."
- Continue squeezing for a minute: then completely and absolutely release everything.
- Feel yourself dropping down deep inside.
- As you do, just give yourself the suggestion, "I feel totally and incredibly energetic, strong or whatever other suggestions you have developed to reach your goal.
- Now imagine the outcome you desire, see yourself experiencing the successful achievement of your goal in your mind's eye.
- Become aware now of the positive feelings that you experience as a result of achieving your desired outcome.
- After just a few minutes, tell yourself that you are now returning to normal, feeling wonderfully refreshed, relaxed and focused on your next task at hand.
